Our daughter looks forward to her two days at TEY each week, it seems a great learning but fun environment.  She regularly surprises us with things she has learnt at nursery. Amy and her staff have been so accommodating our needs and wants, we couldn't praise them highly enough. Thank you!

My son has a severe dairy/egg allergy and I was nervous about sending him into a setting where I wouldn't be providing his food but I needn't have been as TEY have been absolutely excellent from day 1. They have provided menus and alternative suggestions for my child's meals a half term in advance, giving me chance to suggest any changes or substitutes that I would like to be made and ensuring that my child is never left out of special events or themes. They take seriously their responsibility to ensure he eats food that is safe for him and go above and beyond to be sure of this.  They have never made me feel like this is a chore or hassle and I am extremely grateful to them for the effort they have put in to keep my child safe and also not ever make him feel excluded from meals and special days.

I really struggled with the idea of letting my daughter go into childcare with people I didn't initially know, but when we went for a look around I was really put at ease. My daughter was straight off playing and the staff were absolutely brilliant. COVID hit and with this brought its troubles but the staff kept in regular contact with constant resources and a genuine interest into what the children were doing. On return to nursery our first tracking form (which then became quite regular) was a little bit daunting. However, a quick email to Amy, the manager, and I was talking to a member of staff the very next day. Very accommodating and informative about my child's progress. My child has enjoyed every day at nursery and even asks to go in on a Sunday. Throughout the uncertain times we have been through recently TEY became a safe and comforting environment for all the children. I love the fact that TEY is an open, free play nursery and my daughter has loved mixing with all the children that are her age, older and younger. I am so happy that I decided to send my daughter to TEY. They have given her such an amazing start to early education while providing us with updates, support and guidance where needed. Whether you call, message or email, responses are often quick and all staff are more than happy to answer any questions you have.

My daughter loved her time at TEY, she has developed personality and grown in confidence. The team have given her the starting building blocks for school. She is confident in her phonics, colours, shapes and numbers. This has really helped transition. TEY is a warm friendly environment, lots of activities and regularly change and adapt activities. They have good parent communication so I always knew what she was doing and learning.

My daughter has been at Todwick Early Years for past 2 years. She has become very independent with a caring nature, which I can put much of this down to the care and attention she receives at nursery. Some new changes have been implemented over the past few months which have had positive effects and I as a parent have found helpful:

• The introduction of child’s options for lunch menu.
• Outside activities have been brought into the nursery – phonics bear sessions making reading and writing fun, my child really enjoys taking part.
• Regular feedback forms on child’s progression are given to parents with an update on child’s behaviour, activities completed, and achievements.
• We as parents also get the opportunity to complete a teaching journal. This is to inform staff of significant things happening in our child’s life, any concerns or worries we may have, and an update on progression, and tasks we are working towards at home.

This gives me great satisfaction of knowing staff are working together to try and meet my child’s needs and best interests. The nursery has excellent use of arts and crafts to aid the teaching of children. There are always activities set up ready for the day a head which I believe has recently been updated. It is a Safe, fun stimulating environment. Our experience of the nursery has been fantastic, I would highly recommend it. We have encountered no issues, and any queries or questions asked have been dealt with promptly. I regularly hear about the fun at story time and singing. My child always has positive comments at the end of her day, and always leaves with a big smile. My daughter speaks highly of all the staff.    

Kidz Club is a great start to the day! My daughter is always greeted with a warm smile and the calm, supportive environment helps to prepare her for a purposeful day at school. Communication is excellent and staff take time to get to know the children in their care. Breakfast is varied and tasty - my daughter especially likes the waffles!”

It is quite daunting choosing a school for my little boy, but the decision was made so much easier by choosing Todwick Early Years for his breakfast and after school care. I go to work in the knowledge that he is safe and happy being with there with all the staff that look after him so well at Todwick Early Years. New friends made! New food tried! All within an environment that encourages independence, fosters confidence and is something that my little boy looks forward to before and after a day at school!"
